Welcome to Betws-y-Coed - the gateway to Eryri (Snowdonia). A vibrant village encircled by the rugged Gwydir Forest, giving it a strong Alpine character. Here, you will find an extensive network of hiking and biking trails, countless historical landmarks, and an excellent choice of shops and restaurants. With something for everyone, this unique location attracts visitors all year round.

Snowdonia has become known as the adventure capital of the UK for walkers, bikers, climbers and adrenaline junkies! The region's world-class attractions and mountainous terrain provide plenty of options for thrill-seekers and adventure enthusiasts. The renowned Gwydir Mawr & Bach (formerly the Marin) bike trail, Zip World Fforest and Swallow Falls are just some of the must-see attractions right on our doorstep. 

History lovers will not be disappointed either, as Betws-y-Coed boasts the 14th-century St. Michael's Old Church, Thomas Telford's Waterloo Bridge and the Conwy Valley Railway Museum. Venture further into North Wales to discover many of the country’s impressive castles and UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Several exquisite gardens and the Italianate village at Portmeirion must be explored.

When it comes to delicious food and drink, visitors are spoiled for choice. A fantastic selection of restaurants, cafes and bars, as well as a pizzeria, sweet shop, ice cream parlour and bakery, are all centrally located in Betws-y-Coed. Most eateries use locally sourced ingredients in their dishes, and our village pubs host a wide selection of craft beers from local microbreweries.
