These quaint stone cottages have a long history. Originally a row of traditional miners' cottages for those working in nearby quarries, the properties later housed a farming family, a milking parlour and a mechanical workshop. The cottages have since been sympathetically restored to the highest standards while retaining much of their original character and charm.
In each cottage, a glazed front door opens into an open-plan ground-floor living area. Oak windows and doors allow light to stream in while framing captivating woodland views. A wood effect stove enhances the cosiness of the lounge, making it the perfect place to watch a favourite film, read a book, or discuss your holiday adventures. The stylish kitchen features high-end appliances and a small dining table that is ideal for a hearty breakfast or a romantic dinner for two. A glazed door to the rear of the cottage leads to a small, slate-paved courtyard where you can dine alfresco while admiring the view.
An oak staircase takes guests directly into the bedroom, which has a comfortable king-size bed, a smart TV and a spacious wardrobe with LED lighting. The adjacent bathroom, with its roll-top bath and large walk-in shower, is simply stunning.
